Photographing a wedding at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta is always a pleasure because of the endless possibilities. In addition, a wedding outside opens up more possibilities because of the Callanwolde garden area. We were fortunate enough to have great weather throughout the day for an optimal wedding experience.
My day began with the arrival of the bride and the bridesmaids. Once the bride changed into her beautiful Winnie Couture dress, we took some photos on the beautiful staircase of the Callanwolde. Afterward, I took advantage of the window light for the lay flat details and Lamar’s prep shots with his tux from Miquel Wilson. Before the ceremony, Marie shared a beautiful gift with her mother for an emotional moment prior to walking down the aisle.
The day was a festive occasion with a variety of cultures present to celebrate the union of Marie and Lamar. From the ceremony to the reception the decor by Niq Williams was breathtaking. We were able to do a room reveal and a couple’s portrait prior to the guest entering the reception space. DJ Dusei played a variety of music representing the bride’s cultural background of Panamanian and Sierra Leonean. The wedding cake by For Goodness Cakes was amazing and I had a chance to taste a little sample (smile). From the ceremony to the formal exit, the wedding day of Marie and Lamar at the Callanwolde was perfect thanks to the planning of Sabrina from Crystal Pink Events.
Mari and Lamar’s Wedding Testimonial
When we met our planner, Sabrina from Crystal Pink Events, we had no hesitations hiring Jabari! I saw his work for other brides and the beautiful pictures he took for them. I wish he could have done our engagement photos. Cain’s Camera is a very reputable photographer and I felt that the price complimented the services as well. Looking at other photographer’s packages, I felt as if I was being robbed and would not have received quality pictures.
During the wedding day Jabari jumped right in, got the job done and it felt like he was there for us. Not to ONLY get the job done and go home. Cain’s Camera is also very personable. I would recommend Cain’s Camera to anyone in need of a quality photographer for weddings, family photos and etc. Jabari is fun and wants to ensure that every picture you could think of gets captured. He is very passionate and wants to produce the best pictures. Continue the great work! We weren’t able to meet in person before the wedding but it honestly felt like we met 10x before that lol! Because of Jabari’s personality and professionalism everyone was able to welcome you with open arms and we don’t do that too often. Also, keep that great energy you have, it’ll take you even further. Thanks again, Jabari!

I met Raquel and Jerry through one of my favorite DJs in Atlanta: Toryn of Exquisite Sounds Entertainment. Raquel gave me a call after finding her DJ. The excitement in her voice was evident. She detailed her vision of her wedding day at the Callanwolde. This would be a memorable wedding with a New Orleans theme filled with fun, tradition, and plenty of family. After our phone conversation I was so excited that I wanted to fast forward to September 3rd, 2016.
The Wedding at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center:
I was so excited to see Raquel and Jerry on their Labor day weekend wedding. Raquel decided that she wanted her and her bridesmaids to where tennis shoes instead of traditional wedding shoes. This was a perfect fit for their personalities. Jerry followed suit by sporting some of his favorite tennis shoes. Raquel and her single friends did a New Orleans cake pull during the reception . This is where one of the friends pulls a charm from the brides cake to see who is next for marriage. At the end of the reception the newlyweds kept with tradition and got in formation for a New Orleans 2nd line dance.
Special thanks to Crystal Pink Events and her crew for another event that ran smooth and was everything the couple imagined.
I was referred to Cain’s Camera by Toryn of Exquisite Sounds. We chose to work with Cain’s Camera because their work spoke for itself and I had never seen such amazing photos before. After working withe Jabari we enjoyed his professionalism, his eye for capturing amazing photos, and his patience for dealing with complicated silly people like myself and my husband (LOL). I have recommended Cain’s Camera to EVERYBODY I know in need of a photographer, including my pastor! If anybody wants photos that they can look at and get exceptional shots they would be crazy not to choose Cain’s Camera. Choosing Jabari to be my wedding photographer was the best decision made! Jabari is the most humble spirited professional I have ever worked with. His work speaks volumes and I look forward to working with him in the future. He is my family photographer from now going forward!

Our first wedding of the season began with Samentha and Kevin at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, on April 12th, 2015. As a wedding photographer, April always worries me because we all know the saying, “April showers bring May Flowers.” Rain was expected, but fortunately, we had an overcast day, which ended up being perfect. Sylvia and I started the day by meeting the bride and groom at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Atlanta, GA.
Excitement was in the air as we captured candid moments of the groomsmen sharing stories about the groom on the hotel balcony. Kevin was nothing but smiles as his closest friends shared encouraging words before his wedding ceremony. Once we were done photographing the men, the limo arrived to drive them to the venue.
With the men photographed and out of the hotel, it was time to capture some photos of the bride and her bridesmaids. We photographed the beautiful bride in various locations in the hotel, including the staircase and the main lobby area. During this time we also took some bridal portraits, and individual shots of the bridesmaids. Several family members were also included in these pre-wedding shots of important women in the bride’s life.
The Wedding at the Callanwolde:
Once the limo arrived for the bride and her bridesmaids, Sylvia and I headed over to the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center to capture some detail shots prior to the 100+ guests arriving. The venue is beautiful with flower gardens, fountains, and a number of stunning backgrounds that are for great pictures. Before the ceremony began we were able to take more photos of the bride and groom, beloved family members, and wedding attendees.
As Kevin walked down the aisle, the audience erupted with cheers of pure joy! He was all smiles as he gave a couple of fist pumps in the air. The bride looked absolutely incredible as she made her way down the Callanwolde staircase with her father. The audience was energized throughout the entire ceremony and we captured plenty of cherished candid moments of the bride and groom.
Once the ceremony came to a close and the formal photographs of family members were complete, we took advantage of all the amazing backgrounds the venue had to offer. We ventured out to the fountain and main garden area to photograph the bride and groom, and we were also able to get a few more formal shots of the couple during the reception.
Samentha and Kevin were extremely fun to work with and it is always great to play a part in a wedding filled with such excitement. Cain’s Camera would like to wish Samentha and Kevin the very best and thank you again for choosing us to photograph your special day. Also, a very special thank you goes to Crystal Pink Events for introducing us to this awesome couple. Thank you to Lex Bozek for assisting with photography as well!
